Located on a hilly peninsula jutting into San Francisco Bay, the small town of Tiburon prospered as a “rowdy” railroad town and was home to the North West Pacific Railroad. In its early days, Tiburon’s main street was a tough waterfront area of stores, hotels, a post office, and several raucous taverns from which came stories of shootings and rum-running.

Today, Tiburon is one of the wealthiest cities in the county, and has grown into a bustling community with a small-town feel. Main Street is the local gathering place and offers a variety of upscale shops, quaint art galleries and restaurants overlooking the Bay. Easy access to downtown San Francisco, either by ferry or highway 101, makes commuting a breeze. Houses in Tiburon are a mix of nicely renovated downtown condos and luxurious hillside show homes and a number of waterfront properties that sit directly on San Francisco Bay.
